The very next day....Revit Redemption

I walk into another firm where the main drafter has taken our Revit Architecture essentials and advanced class. His first question is when is our next Revit MEP class because he wants to start learning to place in the ductwork and plumbing to improve their coordination.

I'm fascinated because here's a totally opposite yet similar situation to yesterday's visit.
You see, he's bought Revit on his own, paid for his own training and uses it exclusively at his firm (they're small, only 5 people). His boss sees what he's creating in Revit, uses his drawings for construction documents, pays him a salary, yet she still won't get Revit for the whole firm or pay for training. He wouldn't change a thing and loves how Revit has helped him grow as a designer

To the right is a snapshot of Alberto's work in Revit.

Very nice... I wonder how he created the roof details...

He created families for each type of roof material and then placed each roof tile indivdually. He said it took him a couple of hours, but it's one of the most impressive roofs I've ever seen and we're proud to have him as a client.
