Autodesk® Revit® Architecture 2010
Revit® Architecture 2009

When you render in Revit®, there is no option to use a custom background image.

Currently, the default sky backgrounds are the only available background options when rendering. However, you can use the following procedure to place a custom background image:

  1. Render the image in Revit.
  2. When the rendering is complete, click Image > Export.
  3. Select either the TIF or PNG file format, and then click Save.
  4. In another project view, click Insert > Image. Browse to the location of your custom background image.
  5. One the background image is in place, repeat Step 4 to import the previously rendered image over the custom background image.

Note: You may need to resize the background image behind the rendered image.
