Something I came up with in the middle of a conversation

I was being interviewed by a newspaper reporter and in the middle of the conversation about BIM, i came up with the following:

The Art of Architecture
The Business of BIM
The Costs, Clash and Coordination of Construction.

I'm not sure but it seemed to make a lot of the AEC industry make sense. Thoughts anyone?

It just kind of makes sense as to why all of the general contractors are investing in BIM and the architects are terrified of anything but a #5 mechanical pencil.

On the other hand, 40 years ago, men walked on the moon from a space craft created with pencils and slide rules, but they were all engineers and used 6 decimal places.

You are so right about the architects versus contractors. I am seeing the same thing at the top. In the Fort Belvoir Community Hospital project. I heard the managing venture talk all the time about BIM, but when it came to the architects, it was all stop and start. Truth be told, we all have to change.
