The Top Green Contractors - ENR | McGraw-Hill Construction [LEED] [Contractors]

I guess it must have been something I said about the Navisworks update...this just came out.  Several of our clients are on the list and my first employer is on the list too.  Did I ever tell you how much I love the construction side of BIM and LEED?  Yeah, I didn't think so.  As time runs out on your chance to start using Revit, Navisworks, Ecotect and IES before the recession ends and you're "too busy to switch to BIM", let this be your official warning that the contractors and owners will not accept that excuse this time around.  Help us help you.

Now, enjoy this little piece of BIM Nirvana for those lucky people on the list to having grown their businesses with BIM and LEED.

The Top 100 (green contractors) generated $38.69 billion in revenue in 2008 from projects registered with or certified by third-party rating groups under objective environmental or sustainable development standards.  This marks a startling 70% [increase from] $22.76 billion [in revenue generated] for the group in 2007.
You may recall that 2008 was the start of the recession and the construction industry began taking hits.  Despite this, the top 100 green contractors saw their revenues from green building projects increase.

Here's one other incredible statistic for you:
The 2008 (green building revenue) figure amounts to 26.2% of the Top 100's total contracting revenue for 2008.

HOW TO USE THE TABLES
For the first time, ENR has produced a ranking of contractors based on the volume of sustainable and "Green" projects they have worked on.
The list ranks the top 100 U.S.-based contractors, both publicly and privately held, based on construction contracting-specific revenue on projects that have been registered or certified by third-party organizations as following specific environmental, energy-savings, or sustainability standards.
