Revit Extensions for Autodesk Revit Architecture 2010

Revit® Extensions extend the capabilities of Autodesk® Revit® Architecture 2010 software in key areas, including modeling, coordination, and documentation. This pack contains updates to previously released Revit Extensions as well as 2 new features:

  • Content generator—Programmatically generate structural steel, concrete, and wood section families for beams, columns, and materials based on national standards databases.
  • Wood framing—More quickly and precisely model a wood frame structure within interior and exterior walls. Models can be automatically generated based on user-defined parameters.

This download includes the Extensions Engine, a platform that hosts each extension within Revit Architecture 2010.

Note: The multilanguage executable file contains content in Brazilian Portuguese, Czech, English, French, German, Hungarian, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Polish, Russian, Simplified Chinese, Spanish, and Traditional Chinese.

Feature summary from PDF:

Wood Framing Wall
The goal of this extension is to provide the ability to frame selected walls in Autodesk Revit Architecture. The extension imports walls, recognizes openings and presents them in a 2D/3D viewer. Walls can be individually framed with available framing parameters, such as:
• Connections
• Studs
• Plates
• Blocking
• Cripple studs
• Headers
• Sills

Frame families used by this extension and generated in Revit Architecture can be loaded from the current project or dynamically created according to provided dimensions. The framing can be customized by using offsets and the free position element option.

Content Generator
The content generator extension generates section families for beams and columns, and materials using constructional databases.
Families for standard sections are generated based on geometrical and mechanical data saved in constructional databases.
Families for parametric and tapered sections are generated based on user‐defined data.
Families are saved to the file from which the extension was launched.

Freeze Drawing Update
The Freeze Drawings extension unlinks a drawing from the Revit Architecture object model, so that it remains unchanged despite changes in the object model. This update allows selection of a project 3D view, creation of an associated drafting view, and the ability to export it in the DWG file format.

Grid Generator Update
The extension provides a wizard that enables the definition and generation of axes grids and levels in Revit Architecture projects. This extension also provides tools to generate columns, beams, walls, and footings at grid intersections. This update provides the ability to:
• specify the home position of the generated grid
• when generating radial grids, define an internal radius between the center of the circle and the first grid in which lines may not be drawn
• exclude some specific characters from the grid numbering
