AUGI CAD Camp....er BIM Camp June 3rd - Orlando...come see me teach.

Well, I hope this gets me motivated to submit classes for AU2010 before the deadline.  I'm teaching an AUGI BIM Camp class. Who needs CAD Camps anyhow?  It's time for the contractors to learn everything they can about BIM.

Hopefully , some of you reading this live in the Orlando area and would like to be entertained by one of my fast paced BIM presentations.  I don't know what I was thinking because I'm doing a huge number of BIM presentations for large crowds this summer.  I do love having the BIM Converation.  How a non technical (I'm actually very technogically advanced, but not an Autodesk A/E or product specialist) gets to teach these types of classes is beyond me, but it just means I get to study more and more and push the BIM envelope even farther.

S2-3: ARCHITECTURE AND BUILDING TRACK

Product: Autodesk® Revit® Suites, Navisworks® and Ecotect® 2010

Course Title: BIM For Bidders/BIM Forbidders – Details

Level: Intermediate/Advanced

Instructor: Gregory Arkin

Title: President/BIM Director

Company: CADD Centers of Florida

Description: Contractors have embraced BIM and Revit at a faster pace than have the architecture and engineering industries. GCs are using BIM for presentations, estimates, schedules, preconstruction, clash detection, prefabrication of building systems and then selling the 3D, 4D and 5D models to the client for Facility Management. Owners are now demanding BIM, LEED and IPD. This course will provide you with guidelines on how to share the Revit model, integrate the BIM process and enable your team to complete projects faster with fewer RFIs and conflicts (on the project and on the phone), and how to work with 2D construction documents when the contractor builds their own model and 3D shop drawings.
