A note about System Requirements and Support - The Revit Clinic

Often, we get asked "What is supported hardware for Revit?" or "Why isn't XYZ supported for Revit?"

Support organizations tackle this question all the time and its not always a easy black and white answer.

We are a service organization and pride ourselves on delivering excellent technical support, but sometimes we are limited by what we have on hand (hardware and software) and what we have tested the software to function with.

Our guiding light is the system requirements for the software. We test and support Revit releases using hardware environments similar to those on that page.

This doesn't mean that you cannot use alternative environments or software with Revit, just that we likely haven't tested that environment or software and don't know what may happen.

Support will always try and make an effort to help you if you do run into a problem with an environment that we haven't tested, but with so many hardware types, configurations, and software packages out there, it is impossible for us to reproduce every environment for testing and support purposes.
