Revision Fields in Sheet List are not populated - #Revit Clinic

Source: http://revitclinic.typepad.com/my_weblog/2010/09/revision-fields-in-sheet-list-are-not-populated.html

Scenario is as follows:
1.  You have some revisions in the project, and you add a Sheet List view.
2.  In the Sheet List you add some of the Revision fields such as Current Revision, Current Revision Issued and Current Revision Description, etc.
3.  When complete you notice that the Sheet List fields do not match the Revision Schedule fields which appear on each sheet.
Where is the conflict?
Under View > Revisions > Sheet Issues/Revisions > Numbering, verify if the value is currently set to None.
If None, Revit does not have a value for the Sheet List and the fields will not display as expected.
Ensure it is set to Numeric or Alphabetic and the Sheet List should display the same data as the Sheet Revision Schedules.
