Ideate Launches VAR Program for Ideate-Developed Autodesk Revit Applications #Revit #BIM #AU2010

I'm very proud to be one of the chosen ones to be offering this incredible new product. Imagine the possibilities of being able to take Excel data and link it right back into Revit.  Imagine the possibilities of harnessing information and making it do more for you.

SAN FRANCISCO, CA, December 1, 2010 - Ideate, Inc., an Autodesk Authorized Developer and leading Autodesk solutions provider offering quality software, training, support and custom consulting services to the AEC industry, announced today the launch of its collaborative Value Added Reseller (VAR) Program for two Ideate-developed Autodesk Revit software applications: Ideate BIMLink and Ideate Explorer for Revit.

CADD Centers, CADsoft Consulting, Mid-West CAD, and Microsol Resources are the VARs initially partnering with Ideate in the program launch. About the VAR Program, Bob Palioca, President, Ideate Inc. says, “I am very pleased to be collaborating with these preferred partners for Ideate BIMLink and Ideate Explorer for Revit. Having been associated with these companies for many years and having witnessed their high quality support, training and services within their respective AEC communities, I am assured that the end users of our products will get the highest level of attention to drive efficiencies and leverage ROI from their BIM investments.”

One of the two featured products in the VAR program is the December, 2010 released Ideate BIMLink. Ideate BIMLink creates a link between Autodesk Revit and the industry standard data solution, Microsoft® Excel®, empowering Revit users to pull BIM (building information modeling) information from a Revit file into Excel and push Excel data back into Revit with equal ease. This application, working in conjunction with the Autodesk Revit Extension Manager, provides unprecedented access to BIM data. With Ideate BIMLink, the Revit project team and non-Revit using data contributors can access information appropriate to their needs within a platform that safeguards the BIM model against error.

The other featured product, Ideate Explorer for Revit, is an add-on tool that gives Revit users the ability to rapidly search, filter and finish more than 10,000 building elements in a Revit building information model.

Bob Palioca, President, Ideate Inc. says about the products, “We are very excited about the impact Ideate Explorer for Revit and now Ideate BIMLink are having in the AEC community. It is especially exciting to see how Revit users are saving countless hours on BIM projects, as they continue to find new use-cases for the applications we have developed to bridge gaps within the Revit workflow.”

First customer ship for Ideate BIMLink is December 15, 2010. Pre-orders/orders for Ideate BIMLink received between December 1, 2010 and December 31, 2010 receive a no-charge license of Ideate Explorer for Revit - a $299 value - and up to 4 hours of no-charge web training for both Ideate Revit applications. Terms and conditions apply; contact bimlink@ideateinc.com or authorized VARS for details. A free 30 day non-commercial trial version of Ideate BIMLink software for 32-bit and 64-bit Windows® supported platforms is available at ideatebimlink.com/trial.
