Autodesk will offer Revit Mac demos at BIM conference

Autodesk has announced that they will be hosting demos at the National Association of BIM Modelers conference in Las Vegas April 11th-14th for the upcoming 2012 edition of Revit for Mac, an all-in-one BIM designing tool. The company will also offer free hands-on training sessions for Revit aimed at BIM modelers and architects at 3D world as part of the overall BIM experience.
Autodesk is also expected to make announcements regarding the 2012 editions of Navisworks and 3ds Max, and will feature those products along with Building Design Premium 2012 and QTO. The company, who have been slowing expanding their presence in the Mac market, will be highlighting the Mac-only Revit product, featuring a customer showcase including Tyler Vasari of Just Add Concrete and David Cadisbadis of Layar Group who combines Revit and Navisworks to create multidimensioned and other unusual projects. Revit will also be featured at the AKA 3D Printing Systems booth as well as NVidia booth.

The company will also be offering hour-long free hands-on training on Revit in a supervised environment at the 3D World area of BIM in the North Hall of the Las Vegas Convention Center on April 11th and 12th, though registrations are already full. Most product demos will also be webcast on Autodesk's support and community site BIM for those who cannot attend in person.

Also as part of the BIM celebrations, Autodesk will present a mainstage demo of Revit as part of the Design BIM Build Users Group SuperContractors (which is also open to Archicad and Bentley users, GSA building makers and other digital content creators). The demo, called "Taking Your Finishing Workflow Into the Third Dimension" will showcase Revit's abilities, including it's true 3D modeling abilities, keynoting and RFI correction tools, and stereoscopic 3D tools.
