Just a reminder. Time is running out. If you get selected, you get to go for free, so give it a shot.
Time to Get That AU 2011 Proposal Ready – Deadline is May 6 |
I don’t know about you, but I’m a great procrastinator at times, especially if it involves reading guidelines and attending to lots of details. Nevertheless, the deadline for this year’s Call for Proposals (CFP) is just one week away! How is your proposal coming?
We’ve made quite a few changes this year, so if you are a veteran AU speaker and you haven’t read it already, check out the What’s New for Autodesk University 2011? page. It’s a quick way to get a feel for how things have changed from previous years.
AU is such a great opportunity to share what you’ve learned about your industry and Autodesk software. Just think about how you have personally benefited from the knowledge and practical experience of others who have come before you.
One of the biggest changes this year is that we are being much more specific about what we are looking for. Why? For one thing, many speakers have asked us for this. It helps them to home in on the topics that will really benefit AU attendees. So make good use of the Tracks and Topics page to help you figure out a good topic.
There are lots of changes to virtual classes this year too. For one thing, you will be recording your class yourself using one of the many video recording software programs available on the market. And we won’t be offering live Q&A this year. You will simply have to provide 24-hour response to question submitted electronically, especially in the weeks immediately following your presentation.
Anyway, now is a good time to read through all the great information available on the CFP. If you love speaking and sharing what you know, be sure to get going on your class proposal as soon as you can. May 6 will be here before you know it.
