Autodesk is giving away free software - New Promotions starting 5/15/11 through 7/15/11 - "Autodesk Reach Higher Promotion" - The Game Changer

Luke posted about this a few days ago and only because his reseller, who will probably get in a lot of trouble for preleasing information, so let's make this official.

Autodesk is starting a couple of new promotions starting May 16th running through July 15th.  Why July 15th?  Because you have a tendancy to wait until the last minute and if it ended on July 31st, it would be chaotic to process all of the orders.

Here's the deal for the main promotion.  I'll post about the LT and older software promotions later because if you're reading this blog, you don't give a hoot about LT or have AutoCAD 14.

If you are currently on subscription, you can migrate your software to a Building Design Suite Premium at no charge.  Easy way to loo at it is you get 3ds Max for an extra $250/year in subscription cost.

If you have questions, contact me (www.revit3d.com/g) and I'll help you any way I can.

This offer recognizes the loyalty of Autodesk Subscription customers, and provides an exclusive benefit as Autodesk transitions its product offerings to Suites.

What are the eligibility criteria for the Autodesk Reach Higher Promotional Offer?
Autodesk wants to make it easy for existing Autodesk Subscription customers to move to suites. Customers must have a license for one of the eligible products, with an active Autodesk Subscription contract to qualify for the Reach Higher Promotional Offer. Customers may upgrade their license or renew their subscription contracts in advance of the offer without penalty.

Are there any Subscription costs associated with $0, No Cost Upgrades?
If a customer elects to migrate to one of the Design Suites, related subscription contracts will be migrated with the transaction free of charge for the remainder of the Subscription contract period. Additional subscription charges may apply when the subscription contract is renewed. Consult with your local Autodesk Reseller to review subscription pricing and potential increases you may incur.
Downgrading back to your original product or to a lower priced product after migration will be subject to standard upgrade fees, consult your reseller to review requirements and applicable fees.

Are there any Subscription costs associated with promotional pricing for Premium & Ultimate Suites?
Migrating subscription with a paid upgrade is free of charge for standard one-year Subscription. Additional Subscription charges will be applied to the remaining years for a multiyear Contract.

What is the process for customers taking advantage of the $0, No Cost Upgrades?
You must adhere to all the Terms and Conditions herein:
1. Your Subscription contract must be current and active to participate in this offer. If your contract is no longer current or nearing expiration, please contact your Autodesk reseller for renewal processing prior to submitting your request.
2. Your Subscription Contract Manager can complete the online request by visiting www.autodesk.com/suiteupgrade.
3. Submit the completed request, including your contact information, migration preferences and agree to the Terms and Conditions of the offer by July 15, 2011.

Only the actual corporate or individual Contract Manager of the qualifying product license may participate and make an online submission. Autodesk channel partners, resellers, distributors and purchasing agents may not participate in this offer.

Can I add subscription to a new product license to leverage the $0, No Cost Upgrade?
No, new product licenses purchased after May 2, 2011 are not eligible for the migration offer. Customers may upgrade their license and add or renew subscription prior to taking advantage of the $0, No Cost Upgrade.
