This is one of a series of videos explaining the process for installing your Autodesk 2012 products. Even though the videos use the Autodesk Design Suites as an example, the concepts and procedures that you see apply to all 2012 products.

Introduction


Installing Tools & Utilities

The Autodesk 2012 installer gives you the option to install additional applications that may be used in conjunction with one or more of the Autodesk products you are installing.

Choosing a license type

Selecting the type of Autodesk product license you are installing: stand-alone, multi-seat stand-alone or network.

Installing a trial version

Installing an Autodesk 2012 product as a trial allows you to run it for 30 days before you must provide a serial number and activate the product.

Configuration

Unlike the Autodesk installers in previous releases, all selection and configuration is done on this one screen. There are no longer multiple screens and tabs for configuring individual products.
