How to transfer stand-alone licenses in Autodesk products (video)

What a coincidence.  I was just asked this today by a client.  Remember, it's a violation of the license agreement to install a standalone license on multiople  computers and have more than one person use the software at the same time.

You would like an overview of how to use the Online License Transfer feature, specifically: how to export and import stand-alone licenses; how to remove the License Transfer Utility from installations and deployments; and answers to commonly asked questions.

Solution

An text-based overview of the License Transfer Utility, including step-by-step instructions on how to export and import a stand-alone license, can be found in the Autodesk Licensing Guide and in the online help under the heading,
"Transfer Your Stand-Alone License".

For a visual demonstration of how to use the Online License Transfer feature including how to remove the License Transfer Utility from installations and deployments, and answers to commonly asked questions, please refer to the following video:
Online License Transfer in Autodesk 2010 Products
This video is 15 minutes in length and was created for training purposes.
Note: Although the docs, online help, and video tutorial are for specific Autodesk products and versions, the instructions have been the same since the 2010 releases and apply to all Autodesk products that support transferring a stand-alone license using the License Transfer Utility. For Mac and Linux-based Autodesk products, you may need to refer to product-specific documentation for instructions on how to start the License Transfer Utility on those platforms.
