What is this Project Sauron? Collaboration, Visualization, Document Management all live and web based. What is this technology?

I've stumbled across this recently. I'm trying to figure this all out and have a few of the pieces.

There's the YouTube Channel: http://www.youtube.com/user/ProjectSauron
There's the Twitter feed: http://twitter.com/#!/ProjectSauron
There's the AboutMe page: http://about.me/projectsauron that just says "
Lastly, there's an AUGI thread: http://forums.augi.com/showthread.php?t=130297

The Only Official BIM Technology of Evil Lairs - In The Universe!"

I thought this was some secret part of the new Autodesk Cloud. I don't think it is. It looks like the videos are showing Revit models. It's definitely some sort of new technology showcasing online collaboration, document management, visualization and linking everything together online. Wow. What an incredible idea if it's all together in one place. If you could leverage all of these things and have analysis tied in live, this is a real game changer.

Check out the videos. You can drag a PDF right onto an object. That's an amazing tool for facility management. It looks like it should be able to do clash detection as well. Having a real time viewer that's web based sure would make collaboration a lot easier. Does this mean an entire team can work live in one space? Looks like it could be the holy grail of the AEC industry.

Does anyone know anything about this? Is it part of Autodesk Labs, another software vendor, Google? Ugh. It's too good to be true.

What Lord and Master wants....well, you know the rest. Online collaboration (Socialcast, email, Twitter and more) now possible - allowing the entire Project Sauron community to share Evil Lair specific links for FM and OMM (Operation Maintenance Manuals).
Why? Because it makes world domination waaaaaay easier.

Photo-realistic and real-time visualization sequence of upper launch area as well as structural and mechanical systems including auxiliary fuel tanks and platform controls.
Lower mechanical and primary thermal exchange systems are in place.
Phase I integration tests continue and remain successful.

Second round of transporter tests successful.
Rapid transport of Minions and Henchman throughout the island lair now possible. Stepping on transporter pad activates kiosk allowing user to select destination. Effective range between kiosks approximately 2km.
During previous tests a flock of seagulls unexpectedly flew through the ionization path as one of the Henchman engaged molecular transport leaving quite a smell but little else.
Repairs now complete. Organic and inorganic material is filtered at destination kiosk.
Phase I Design and Pre-construction of Lair nears completion. Core software team in place and testing. Cross-platform interoperability deemed unfeasible.
Phase I Integration trials underway and successful.
Phase II candidates to be contacted shortly.
