Project Photofly FAQ: Can I rotate the object instead of the camera? #Autodesk #3d

BIM -It is Alive in the Lab

This is not recommended. Project Photofly uses details in the background to line up the pictures. One user did develop a turntable with distinct red, green, and blue markers on it that worked for him. He is the exception rather than the rule. For best results, you should keep the object stationary and sweep around it taking pictures every 5 to 10 degrees. This will allow you to accurately catch the geometry.
