Sometimes accidents happen when discussing CAD vs BIM and AitoCAD vs
Revit. On Friday, during a conversation with a subcontractor bidding
on their first BIM project, I was discussing process, technology,
software and design (PTSD (and yes, I just made that up)).
Anyway, while talking to the prospect, I meant to say BIM then
AutoCAD, and instead, said 'AutoBAD'. So there you have it, either
the best new word to describe last century's design software, or an
accidental word worth repeating over and over until every architect
switches to BIM.
Could BAD stand for BIM, Architecture and Design? How about Blueprint
