Project Freewheel users will now use Autodesk Freewheel

As mentioned in my eralier post, we're retiring the Project Freewheel servers:

Use Autodesk Freewheel instead of Project Freewheel

Project Freewheel URLs (freewheel.labs.autodesk.com) will be directed to Autodesk Freewheel (freewheel.autodesk.com) servers. The Autodesk Freewheel servers are in a data center, monitored by 24/7 by the same staff that cares/feeds Buzzsaw.

We have made the Domain Name System (DNS) change on our end. The change was scheduled for May 1, but we gave you 3 days grace. This change should propagate around the world and take effect in a few hours.

  • If you are using Autodesk Freewheel, you don't need to do anything.
  • If you are using Project Freewheel with a DWF file that you host yourself, you don't need to do anything.
  • If you were using Project Freewheel with a DWF file that you uploaded to the Project Freewheel server, you will want to host that file yourself or upload it to the Autodesk Freewheel server. In either of these cases, you will need to update your HTML pages that reference the old Project Freewheel.

Advancement is alive in the lab.
