A few weeks ago I was going to write a blog post about how to get the COBie plugin for Revit 2012 to work in 2013 with a little tweaking, but luckily, that tutorial will no longer be necessary.
I'm glad that Autodesk has released the update. If you don't know what COBie, don't worry about it. It's just like that BIM, IPD, VDC, LEED and IFC gobbledygook that no one really needs to pay attention to.
Seriously, this is a whole other layer of BIM that will byte you in the As-builts if you're not careful. Personally, I've collected 281 COBie documents (581 MB) that I've been absorbing as quickly as possible. You never know when an owner is going to ask you about it.
I do wish that there was an Autodesk announcement about the 2013 plugin release since it's been out since October 4th, and I only found it by accident searching for something else regarding COBie. I'm happy to help do some Autodesk marketing and hope this helps.
