Tekla work with partners to offer the AEC industry integrated open BIM workflows. With Tekla software, owners and architects, engineers and construction contractors can easily enjoy the benefit of accurate, coordinated, rich data and use that information to deliver the project faster and more economically.
Tekla® and other members of the buildingSMART® alliance support a global program to promote OPEN BIM throughout the AEC industry. OPEN BIM™ approach allows project members to the collaborative design and construction regardless of the tools they use.
Please note that this tool is currently in an experimental phase and is updated in approximately one month cycles. As a result, do consider joining and offering constructive feedback to the Linked-In group Tekla-Revit Interoperability Forum where we will be announcing updates to the Tekla Structures and Revit plug-ins.

  • The Export to Tekla Add-Ins offered for download above delivers the same functionality in both instances and thus known issues remain unresolved.
  • Tekla Industry Foundation Classes (IFC) Import to Revit Add-In has been developed to improve the import of Tekla Structures IFC files by using the Revit API to create native objects from the data supplied by the Tekla IFC file. The Tekla IFC Import to Revit Add-In is available through the ‘Export to Softwares’ function and more detail is available in the Tekla – Revit Customer Link document.
