Autodesk Building Design Suites finally available for download

Every day of the past two weeks, two or three times a day, I check the subscription portal to see if Autodesk released the 2014 software. In between, I check the product trial pages. It's amazing how there's such little communication by Autodesk as to the release dates the products. In the past, I did my best to let you know as soon as I knew but, should you really have to depend on social media for information on a product you pay thousands of dollars for. There should be a notification in the software that automatically tells you of any release, patch, update or plugin. Maybe that's why so many people still use AutoCAD. They don't know that anything else exists.

Today is also the day that Autodesk saves about 20 million dollars in producing and shipping you your software now that you're forced to download 15 GB of software. I wonder what happens to those people with slow Internet or that have a data cap. Autodesk should give you a discount for downloading the software.

Anyway, it's time to start the dreaded downloads.

Hi, I've started downloading BDSP from the subscription site via the compulsory Autodesk Download Manager. The webpage said 15Gb, but the download manager says 58.5Gb???
Anyone else seeing this or is the download manager as stupid as I thought it was?
Cheers, Brett

Yep, you're right.
Ultimate says 18,9/75,4 Gb,
????
But the problem is that after downloading 3 or 4 Gb lost connection and don't recover anymore.
