Overview - Online trial for Autodesk Revit 2014


Autodesk®Revit® 2014Revit LTTM 2014


This online trial for Autodesk® Revit® 2014 and Autodesk® Revit LTTM 2014 software is aninstance of Revit and Revit LT hosted in the Autodesk cloud. The online trial, in combination withAutodesk 360, enables you to experience and evaluate Revit and Revit LT without large downloadsor sophisticated computer hardware.

Note that the online trial is running on a remote server. Keyboard and mouse input are streamed tothe remote server and graphics are streamed back to your machine. The online trials arecompatible with Windows® XP SP3, Vista, 7, and 8 on both 32- and 64-bit.

Accessing Project Files

Project files accessed while using the Online Trial are saved and retrieved through Autodesk 360. After you launch theonline trial version of Revit or Revit LT, use the Online tab to access the commands to download, upload, or upload andopen files.

To use the Online Trial with existing Revit project files, you must first upload them. From the Online tab, click UploadFiles and select one or more files to upload. Use CTRL and SHIFT to multi-select files. Click Upload. To download Revitproject files, click Download Files. Select one or more files to download. Use CTRL and SHIFT to multi-select files. ClickOpen, select a destination folder for the files, and then click OK. Files remain in your Autodesk360 account after the trialexpires. Known Limitations

  1. You may experience slow performance when selecting a large project file to open from the cloud, or when upgrading

    or working with large projects.

  2. Revit trial only: Worksharing is currently not supported in the online trial for Revit 2014. Attempting to use

    worksharing or opening projects where worksharing has been enabled in this environment could result in filecorruption.

    1. Do not enable worksharing for projects created with the online trial for Revit 2014.

    2. If you have a workshared project that you would like to use for the online trial for Revit 2014, detach it from

      central and discard worksets before uploading to Autodesk 360.
