Revit Tip - What to do when you lose your Finish Edit button

After editing a family group, the cancel and finish edit buttons disappeared from the toolbar.
That can certainly leave you in BIMlimbo land since you can't get out of that edit window and save the project.

So, here's the fix for it.  Type KS on your keyboard and the keyboard shortcut menu pops up.
Search for the word Finish and under every item that says Finish Edit (or whatever), type FF into the shortcut box and click Assign.  You can actually use the same FF for multiple items.  It doesn't matter because you can't really be editing different things at once.  One note is that it may already say FG in the Finish Edit Group line item.  You can add FF to that one as well.

It certainly seems easier to just type FF every time you're done editing rather than having to move your mouse to the top and click the Finish button, if it's even up there.

Now you can use FF for Revit FUn.

Hi Greg--

Can you check to see if your computer has the .NET 4.5 Framework installed?

Have you installed the UR2 update for R2013?
